Safari Valley Eco Resort is seeking a Transport Manager to plan, organize, manage, and evaluate the efficient operations of all transportation activities. If you possess good knowledge of transport tracking software and Microsoft Office applications, this role offers the opportunity to manage daily fleet operations, supervise transport staff, ensure vehicle compliance, and prepare operational reports.

Safari Valley Eco Resort is the first luxury eco-park resort in Ghana, located on a 250-acre land in the Okere District of the Eastern Region. Surrounded by exotic wildlife and unspoiled nature, the resort employs over 700 direct and indirect workers. As Transport Manager, you will not simply coordinate vehicles; you will manage scheduling and dispatch, track fuel usage and mileage, monitor driver compliance, establish transport policies, maintain communication systems, ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness, and develop preventive maintenance schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Operations: Manage daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling and dispatch.
Cost Control: Track fuel usage, mileage, and operational costs to optimize efficiency.
Compliance: Monitor compliance with regulations governing vehicle use, including driver licenses, permits, and insurance.
Staff Supervision: Supervise transport staff, ensuring drivers perform effectively and professionally.
Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to ensure vehicle roadworthiness.
Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on transport operations and vehicle activities.

What You Bring to the Role

An HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in the operation and maintenance of electric vehicles and electric carts.
A valid Driver’s License.
Specialized training in Transport Management Systems (advantageous).
Good knowledge of transport tracking software and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
