If you hold a Bachelor’s degree in midwifery or nursing (advanced qualifications preferred), bring five or more years of public health program implementation experience, and want to collaborate with Ghana Health Service to improve care for maternal and newborn complications, this role offers the perfect opportunity to save lives through clinical mentorship and technical assistance.
Why Jhpiego?
Jhpiego is an international nonprofit health organization affiliated with Johns Hopkins University. For 50 years across more than 155 countries, Jhpiego has worked to prevent the needless deaths of women and their families. We partner with health experts, governments, and community leaders to provide high quality health care, train competent workers, strengthen health systems, and improve care delivery. As Master Mentor on the LDSC MaNuCARE project, you will not simply train staff; you will provide technical assistance, capacity strengthening, clinical mentorship, and on site mentoring for maternity and NICU staff. Design, Implementation & Monitoring
- You will assist with the design, implementation, monitoring, and assessment of activities, keeping interventions aligned with project goals.
- Also, your input will shape how the project delivers results.
Reporting & Knowledge Products
- You will develop project and activity reports, contributing to external programmatic reports and knowledge products as required.
- Clear, timely reporting keeps stakeholders informed and supports learning across the organization.
Training & Site Assessments
- You will conduct training and technical site assessments of health facilities in collaboration with partners.
- Moreover, identifying gaps and strengths helps you tailor mentoring to each facility’s needs.
Collaboration with GHS & Partners
- You will work closely with Ghana Health Service and other implementing partners to implement onsite job trainings, maintain services, and provide on site mentoring and supportive supervision.
- Strong partnerships amplify impact and ensure sustainability.
