POSITION: Pastry Chef and Cook

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for preparing a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to high standards while also cooking a range of meals with consistency and quality. Key Responsibilities

Pastry & Dessert Preparation

  • You will prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods to high standards, from breads and cakes to tarts and cookies.
  • Ensuring every item looks beautiful and tastes delicious reflects your pride in your craft.

Cooking Meals

  • You will cook a range of meals with consistency and quality, serving students and staff who depend on nutritious, satisfying food.
  • Balancing flavor, nutrition, and presentation requires skill and attention.

Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness

  • You will maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring every tool and ingredient has its place.
  • A clean workspace prevents accidents, improves efficiency, and reflects professionalism.

Food Safety & Hygiene

  • You will ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed, protecting everyone who eats from your kitchen.
  • Following proper storage, handling, and temperature controls prevents foodborne illness.

Menu Development & Creativity

  • You will support menu development and bring creativity to food presentation, keeping meals interesting and appealing.
  • Suggesting new recipes or seasonal specials demonstrates your passion for the craft.

Experience

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in a similar role, combining pastry and cooking responsibilities.

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques including dough making, baking, frosting, and decorating.
