About Role

The Experimental Quantum Engineer will join the Operations team, playing a central role in delivering high-performance quantum hardware to customers worldwide. This position combines hands-on experimental physics with advanced software development, focusing on cryogenic measurement systems and qubit characterization.

You will manage state-of-the-art dilution refrigerator setups, conduct advanced qubit measurements, and collaborate closely with fabrication and design teams to ensure device excellence. As product complexity increases, you will continuously refine measurement processes, hardware setups, and software workflows to maintain operational precision and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage cryogenic measurement setups, including purchasing, building, maintaining, and upgrading state-of-the-art systems
  • Operate dilution refrigerators and oversee hands-on testing of superconducting quantum hardware
  • Develop and refine Python-based measurement routines for device characterization
  • Characterize quantum chips to evaluate qubit and amplifier performance
  • Identify abnormalities, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective measures in collaboration with fabrication and design teams
  • Continuously improve measurement setups, software tools, and operational processes

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Physics or Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on quantum computing
  • Hands-on programming experience, ideally in Python
  • Knowledge of superconducting circuits and microwave measurement techniques (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work both experimentally and in code
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth technical environments
