The Role: Business & Partnerships Lead
We are looking for a results-driven Business & Partnerships Lead to take ownership of our growth trajectory. Your primary mission will be to secure high-value institutional partnerships and drive the successful commercialization of our research products and AI-integrated platforms. This is not a purely administrative role. It is a hands-on, front-line position that combines high-level strategic planning with aggressive lead generation initiatives. You will focus on securing the kind of prospects that induce significant, transformative growth outcomes for our firm.
You will work in close collaboration with our talented data science and consulting teams. Your ability to understand their work and translate our firm’s capabilities into structured, funded partnership models will be the key to your success. You will serve as the bridge between our internal expertise and the external opportunities that await.
Key Responsibilities
As our new Business & Partnerships Lead, you will take charge of the entire partnership lifecycle. Specifically, you will:
Identify and Pursue Opportunities
- Proactively identify and pursue high-value corporate and institutional opportunities that align with our strategic goals.
- Conduct thorough research to uncover potential partners and understand their unique needs and pain points.
- Map out key decision makers within target organizations and develop tailored engagement strategies.
Build and Manage a Robust Pipeline
- Build and manage a qualified partnership pipeline from the ground up.
- Track all leads, opportunities, and progress meticulously to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
- Prioritize efforts based on potential value and strategic fit.
Lead Outreaches and Presentations
- Lead all client outreaches, from initial cold emails to high-stakes introductory meetings.
- Deliver compelling presentations that clearly articulate our value proposition and demonstrate our capabilities.
- Develop persuasive proposals and pitch decks that win over stakeholders.
Structure and Negotiate Partnerships
- Structure innovative partnership models that work for all parties. This includes retainers, sponsorships, licensing agreements, and project-based engagements.
- Drive complex negotiations through to successful, signed agreements.
- Ensure all partnership terms are clear, fair, and aligned with our long-term objectives.
Conduct Sector Research
- Conduct ongoing sector research to inform our growth positioning and market strategy.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging competitors, and new opportunities in the market.
- Provide actionable insights to the leadership team to guide strategic decision-making.
Represent the Firm
- Represent Zach Levi & Associates at industry events, conferences, and professional forums.
- Build a strong professional network and serve as a visible ambassador for our brand.
- Identify speaking engagements and thought leadership opportunities to raise our profile.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Strategy, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is strongly preferred
- Experience: You must have three to six years of proven experience in business development, partnerships, consulting, or enterprise engagement
- Track Record: A demonstrated ability to initiate conversations and successfully close business opportunities from start to finish.
- Industry Preference: Experience working in the tech, analytics, CSR, ESG, or media sectors will give you a significant advantage.
