How Can One Apply
This is a very easy pathway to travel to Austria. It is a point-based immigration system and one can apply through the following steps;
- First and foremost, calculate your points to check your eligibility. The points are categorized into education, work experience, age, language, and other categories. Candidates must receive at least 70 out of 100 possible points.
- Next, acquire all the needed documents

- Education: Applicants with Bachelor’s degrees in Mathematics, Information Technology, Natural Sciences, and Engineering (MINT subjects) score more points compared to other degrees.
- Work Experience: Also, candidates with work experience at a manager or executive level also score more points in this category. However, it depends on your years of experience. Additionally, having published articles will also fetch one extra point
- Age: This category is solely proven by one’s birth certificate
Documents Required to Apply
- First and foremost, a valid travel document e.g. an International Passport
- Next, a photograph with dimensions 45 by 35mm
- Also, locally customary accommodation
- Additionally, health insurance
- Besides that, adequate means of subsistence (proof of funds between €7,000-€8,000)
Documents to Proof Point Acquisition
- Most importantly, a university degree and transcript. Note that there is no set GPA
- Also, a work letter and certificate stating the job role and contract or years of working experience. Additionally, you’ll need to submit a pay slip. Testimonials of work certificates could be necessary also
