The Opportunity Awaits You

We currently seek a skilled and detail oriented Light Duty Auto Mechanic to join our Service Department in Tema and Kasoa. Reporting directly to the Department Manager, you will play a crucial role in final assembly, pre delivery inspection, diagnostics, servicing, and repair of light duty vehicles including SUVs, pickups, passenger cars, and light trucks. Your expertise will ensure every vehicle meets manufacturer standards before delivery to customers or during after sales service.

Your Core Responsibilities

Assist in final assembly of knocked down (CKD/SKD) units for Great Wall, Chery, Haval, iCar, and Forland vehicles with precision and efficiency.
Perform Pre Delivery Inspections (PDI) to verify all mechanical, electrical, and safety systems function optimally.
Check and adjust fluid levels, tire pressures, battery connections, and torque settings on critical components meticulously.
Use diagnostic scanners and manual tools to identify mechanical and electronic faults in petrol, diesel, and hybrid light duty vehicles accurately.
Troubleshoot engine management systems, transmission issues, braking systems, steering, and suspension effectively.
Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, belt inspections, and tune ups regularly.
Repair or replace faulty components such as alternators, starters, radiators, fuel pumps, clutches, and exhaust systems promptly.
Overhaul engines and gearboxes following manufacturer specifications diligently.
Ensure all work complies with Zonda Tec’s quality standards and OEM guidelines for Great Wall Motors, Chery, Haval, iCar, and Forland.
Complete job cards, repair orders, and inspection checklists accurately and thoroughly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop environment in line with HSE policies consistently.
Report recurring faults or assembly line issues to your supervisor for process improvement continuously.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of technical expertise and practical experience. Specifically, we require:

Minimum of Automobile Technician Certificate (Part II or III) from a recognized institution such as NVTI, GTVET, or a technical university.
Diploma in Automotive Engineering adds significant advantage to your application.
At least 2 to 4 years of hands on experience working on light duty vehicles including SUVs, pickups, and sedans.
Prior experience with Chinese automotive brands like Great Wall, Chery, Haval, Forland, or similar vehicles provides added advantage.
Strong diagnostic and problem solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
