Full Job Description

As a Customer Care Representative, you’ll be able to work in a friendly, collaborative environment with the goal of making people’s days better. We’ll teach you everything you need to know to be an expert in your field, so you can confidently give great service to customers. You’ll answer billing questions from customers, figure out what each customer needs, deal with complaints, take payments, and use emotional intelligence to improve the customer experience as a whole.

Responsibilities

So, what does a Customer Care Representative’s typical day look like?

  • Talk to customers who call in and answer questions about billing, payments, existing and new services, special offers, and upgrading or downgrading services.
  • Actively listen to customers to find out what they want so you can answer their questions, help them fix problems, or suggest products based on what they want.
  • Take a consultative approach with customers whose service isn’t working right by owning the problem and finding a solution.
  • Use more than one computer to learn about products, services, common problems, and the solutions that are available.
  • Document customer needs, interactions, and results in the right tool or system. If problems can’t be solved right away, make more requests.
  • Making every interaction a “WOW” moment by having great communication skills, taking responsibility for the interaction, and providing fast service
  • Make sure you meet key performance indicators by having regular one-on-one coaching sessions with your boss.

You’ll need these traits to be successful.

  • You have to be at least 18 years old.
  • You can work from 7am to 12am EST, but you should be flexible because business needs may change.
  • You’ve worked in customer service for at least six months and know how important coaching and feedback are. You’ve solved problems before and know how important it is to own the solution for the customer.
  • Show that you care, are helpful, and friendly in all your interactions. Do this with the utmost confidence and urgency.
  • You know how to use computers, are comfortable sitting at a desk, and can work with more than one screen.
  • You care about getting things done and are comfortable giving customers suggestions and solutions.
  • You are very good at both speaking and writing in English.
  • You’re comfortable working from home and have a good space with a wired Internet connection.

Please note that because this is a work-from-home job, it does not qualify for the Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program or the Provincial Nominee Program.
