Job Title: Field Banker (Client Acquisition & Relationship Management)

You will serve as the direct link between our institution and the community, playing a pivotal role in driving financial inclusion. Job Purpose

As a Field Banker, your primary objectives are to actively market our savings products, generate new client acquisitions, and manage lasting relationships with our customers. You will be instrumental in growing our deposit base and ensuring client satisfaction through excellent service.

Key Responsibilities

  • First, you will proactively market and promote Universal Microfinance’s suite of savings products and services directly within the Gbawe community and surrounding areas.
  • Your core focus will be generating consistent sales by onboarding new savings clients to meet and exceed set acquisition targets.
  • Furthermore, you will build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients through regular follow up and exceptional customer service.
  • You will also educate potential clients on the benefits and features of our various savings accounts, tailoring your approach to meet individual financial needs.
  • Additionally, you will gather client feedback and provide insights to the management team to help improve our products and services.
  • A crucial part of your role involves representing Universal Microfinance professionally and ethically within the community at all times.

Qualifications & Experience

  • The minimum requirement is a Senior High School (SHS) certificate or any higher educational qualification.
  • While prior experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is advantageous, we highly welcome driven recent graduates and individuals looking to start a career in microfinance.
  • Candidates must reside in or around the Gbawe-Accra area or be willing to work extensively within this location.
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and succeed in a target-oriented environment is essential.

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for effective community engagement.
  • Proven persuasive ability and a natural talent for sales and networking.
  • A high degree of self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently in the field.
  • Strong organizational skills and basic numerical literacy.
  • Integrity, reliability, and a genuine passion for helping others achieve their financial goals.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude when facing challenges.
  • Familiarity with the local Gbawe community is a significant plus.

Location: This is a field-based role primarily operating in Gbawe, Accra. Successful candidates will work directly within this community.
