ROLE TITLE: Education Specialist
The Specialist contributes to the accomplishment of results in accordance with plans, allocation, results-based management techniques and methodology (RBM), as well as UNICEF’s strategic plans, performance standards, and accountability framework.
Summary of Job Functions:
- Assistance with program formulation and planning, monitoring, and results delivery.
- Technical and operational support for program implementation.
- Networking and relationship building.
- Innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building.
Qualifications & Experience
To become an advocate for each child you will have.
- A graduate degree (Master’s or above) in one of the following subjects is required: education, economics, psychology, sociology, or another technical field.
- At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in program planning, management, and/or educational research is necessary.
- Work experience in developing countries, as well as expertise with emergencies, is regarded a benefit.
- Relevant experience with a UN system agency or organization is considered a benefit.
- Fluency in English is necessary. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish) or a native language is advantageous.
Location: Accra.
