UK Announces New Travel Scheme & Travel Costs | UK ETA Update 2024
UK charged €12 to activate Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) in 2019. We will discuss the UK’s intentions to launch a fresh electronic travel authorization program for EU citizens. The authorities have also disclosed the dates starting with which visitors from various nations must apply for a visa to enter the UK. When EU citizens will be required to get ETAs to enter the UK is still unknown. While entering the UK, Qatari nationals would be the first to be asked for an ETA, according to a clear statement from the UK Visas and Immigration Department. The 15th of November 2023 will be the due date for them to begin applying.
Countries under the ETA Scheme
Then, starting on February 22, 2024, nationals of additional Arab states bordering the Persian Gulf, such as Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, shall join the program. Moving on, beginning in 2019, visitors to the UK for business or tourism who are citizens of the EU or of the United States, New Zealand, Australia, or any other remaining country will need to apply for an ETA.

Why the UK ETA
