UAE Immigration Services to Remain Closed for 6 Days

Because of Eid-al-Adha, the UAE Immigration Department will be closed from June 26 to July 2, 2023. The department will get back to work on July 3.

During this time of shutdown, the UAE government will temporarily stop all services related to immigration. This includes getting a visa, getting a residence permit or renewing one, getting a passport serviced, and other similar things. If you need visa services during this time, you should do so before June 25.

This short break is so that immigration officers and staff can spend time with their families and loved ones during the important holy holiday. The UAE’s customs office will be back to normal on July 3, 2023.

One of the most important holidays in the Islamic calendar is Eid-al-Adha. It’s the last day of the annual Hajj trip to Mecca. Muslims all over the world pray, eat, and give each other gifts to mark the event.

Tips for Travellers

Here are some tips for people traveling during this time who need to apply for visa services:

  • Apply for your visa or pass to live in the country as soon as you can.
  • If you can’t apply before June 25, you might be able to apply for an emergency visa or a pass to stay in the country.
  • Check with your flight or travel agent to see if they have any special services for travelers during this time.
  • When working with the people in charge of immigration, be patient and understanding.

Resumption of Immigration Services

When work starts up again on July 3, the UAE immigration department will be back to offering all of its services. People and groups who need help with immigration issues should plan their trips or submissions carefully, taking into account the short time the office will be closed.

It is important to know that this brief closure only affects the immigration department and does not affect other important services in the UAE, such as healthcare, public safety, and transportation. These services will keep running without stopping to make sure that residents and tourists are safe and healthy.

People can check the official website of the UAE immigration department or call their local immigration service centers for more information and updates.
