Job Title: Operations Manager

Job Description

Tap & Order Africa is a dynamic Super App that is reshaping daily life in Ghana. Our integrated platform combines marketplace shopping, ride-hailing, courier services, shuttle mobility, and professional bookings into one seamless ecosystem. As we continue our rapid growth, we are seeking a highly driven and strategic Operations Manager to lead our daily activities and help scale our multiservice platform across the nation.

Role Overview

In this pivotal role, you will oversee all marketplace, mobility, and delivery operations. You will manage a diverse network of vendors, drivers, and riders while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. We need a proactive leader who deeply understands the Ghanaian market, excels at rapid problem solving, and can build scalable systems for long term success.

Key Responsibilities

Your leadership will drive impact across several critical operational areas:

Marketplace and Vendor Management: You will lead the onboarding process for restaurants, shops, pharmacies, and service providers. Furthermore, you will oversee menu and product uploads, manage pricing, and ensure vendor activation. A key duty involves maintaining strong vendor relationships to guarantee their performance and compliance.
Mobility and Delivery Coordination: You will manage the recruitment, training, and activation of our riders, drivers, and shuttle operators. Your role includes coordinating trip availability, balancing supply and demand in real time, and handling service escalations such as delays or cancellations.
Customer Experience Excellence: Overseeing the customer service team will be your responsibility. You will ensure fast and effective problem resolution, monitor the entire order flow, and implement systems to reduce errors and enhance overall satisfaction.
Field Operations and Activation: You will lead on the ground activities, including vendor acquisition campaigns and rider recruitment drives. Additionally, you will monitor high-demand zones to design operational improvements and collaborate with the marketing team on local promotions.
Data Analysis and Performance Reporting: Analyzing daily operational metrics like orders, trips, and cancellations is crucial. You will identify performance bottlenecks, implement continuous improvements, and prepare detailed weekly and monthly reports for management.

Your Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
Two to five years of relevant operations experience, preferably within a tech startup, logistics, delivery, or ride-hailing company.
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
The ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced startup environment.
Excellent analytical skills and a solid understanding of performance data.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are looking for an individual who takes full ownership and does not wait for instructions. You should possess a genuine love for creating structure and driving efficiency. Experience managing field teams and a hunger to grow with a rising tech brand are essential. Prior experience managing vendors, drivers, or logistics teams is a significant advantage.
