POSITION: Export Officer
The Port Officer will provide support to the Import/Export Administrator and assist with the preparation of import and export documents in compliance with customs and government regulations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Firstly, Prepares documents and forms to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures.
- Secondly, Reviews paperwork and documents to ensure shipping, handling, storage charges, and customs fees are billed correctly.
- Thirdly, Maintains a database that tracks merchandise.
- Then, Processes claims on merchandise shortages and overages.
- Lastly, Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- To begin with, Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Then, Knowledge of shipping regulations and policies.
- Also, Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Lastly, Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- HND / DEGREE IN SUPPLY CHAIN MGT
- At least one year of experience in a customs warehouse or similar setting required.
- Prior experience preparing customs and shipping documents preferred.
