Eligibility Requirements
International applicants need to belong to one of these categories:
- Students with foreign nationality whose parents also possess foreign nationalities.
- Koreans abroad who finished all their schooling outside of Korea.
- Refugees from North Korea possessing a legitimate refugee registration document.
Moreover:
- Applicants for the Master’s/Integrated Program must possess (or anticipate possessing by February 2026) a Bachelor’s degree.
- Ph.D. Candidates must possess (or anticipate possessing by Feb. 2026) a Master’s degree.
- Language requirements differ across departments, with both TOPIK (Korean) and English proficiency certificates being accepted.

Application Timelines
Online applications for the 1st Round Graduate School Admissions for Spring 2026 at Sungkyunkwan University will be accepted from September 12 to October 10, 2025. Interviews and written exams are scheduled for October 25, 2025. Admission results will be announced on November 14, 2025. Accepted candidates must submit original documents between November 14 and December 3, 2025, and make their enrollment deposit payment from November 14 to November 21, 2025. Full tuition fees are due in January 2026.
