About the Fellowship

What Fellows Receive
Predoctoral fellows receive stipends comparable to Stanford Graduate Fellowships awards. CISAC also pays their non-matriculated student tuition. Postdoctoral stipends depend on experience and Stanford’s established minimums. Junior faculty and professional stipends likewise reflect individual experience levels. However, CISAC cannot provide housing for fellows.
Who Can Apply
Current PhD students may apply, ideally in their final dissertation year. Postdocs, junior faculty, and professionals also qualify. Applicants need not be U.S. citizens. CISAC welcomes many foreign nationals each year.
Required Materials
Applicants submit a CV, transcript, and research prospectus. A research abstract and writing sample are also required. Three confidential recommendation letters must arrive by the deadline. All materials must be in English.
