Skills Shortage Jobs in Netherlands 2023 With Work VISA for International Applicants

You might be wondering why I’m telling you about jobs in the Netherlands today. It’s because I think the Netherlands is one of those European countries with a skills shortage. This is because much of the Netherlands’ population is getting older, and after the global pandemic, companies are having trouble finding skilled workers.

So, if you have some of the most in-demand skills, along with the right qualifications and work experience, you should also think about applying for skills shortage jobs in the Netherlands and trying to make the Netherlands your new home. After a few years, you may be able to apply for Dutch citizenship.

Let’s talk about job opportunities in the Netherlands in 2023.

Now I’ll talk about some of the jobs that are in very high demand in Netherlands and fall into the category of skills lack jobs for Netherlands:

1 . Jobs on the Dutch labor market

I think this section is the most important part of the article because it tells you how the job market in Netherlands will work in 2023. In this regard, I’m happy to say that each year in Netherlands, over 300,000 new jobs are created on the job market (source: Statista). In the meantime, I’ll tell you about some of the most common jobs in the Netherlands’ labor market: production workers, industrial technicians, hospitality workers, production planners, truck drivers, shelf stackers, warehouse workers, janitors/cleaners, and customer service workers. If you have experience or qualifications (most of these jobs don’t require a college degree) in any of these fields, don’t waste time and start applying.

You’ll be happy to hear that salaries are also pretty high in the Dutch healthcare sector. The most in-demand job in the healthcare industry is nursing, which pays between €4000 and €8000 at some hospitals. If I had to tell you where to apply, I’d say to start by sending your resume to BovenIJ Ziekenhuis, Alrijne Hosp, and Alrij

3 . Jobs for people with a middle level of education

Now, let’s talk about jobs in the Netherlands that are hard to fill because they require mid-level schoolings, like an MBO-2/3/4, HAVO, diploma, or VWO. So, if you have any of these skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, selling products, or painting, I’m happy to tell you that all of these jobs will be in high demand in the Netherlands in 2023, and you’ll need a mid-level education to do them.
