The Senior Registrar (Electrophysiology Fellow) will work closely with a multidisciplinary cardiology team to provide specialist clinical care for both inpatient and outpatient services. Additionally, the role includes participation in clinical research, supervision of junior medical staff, and involvement in advanced electrophysiology and cardiac catheterisation services.

This role focuses on delivering evidence based cardiology and electrophysiology care within a highly specialized clinical environment. The successful candidate will participate in electrophysiology consultations, pacemaker clinics, and cardiac monitoring activities while contributing to patient management and procedural services.
The position also involves supervising junior doctors, participating in cardiology rosters, and contributing to ongoing cardiovascular research initiatives. In addition, the fellow will work within modern cardiac facilities equipped for coronary intervention, structural cardiology, and electrophysiology procedures.

Job Duties
- Provide evidence-based clinical care in cardiology and electrophysiology services.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient cardiology cases across assigned departments.
- Participate in electrophysiology consultations and pacemaker clinic services.
- Support cardiac monitoring activities including Holter and event monitor assessments.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and training registrars.
- Participate actively in cardiovascular and electrophysiology research activities.
- Assist with cardiac catheterisation and procedural cardiology services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and comply with clinical governance standards.
- Participate in cardiology rosters and other departmental responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification required.
- Current AHPRA registration required.
- Eligibility for specialist registration in Cardiology within Australia required.
- Experience in cardiovascular research is essential.
- Training and experience in cardiac catheterisation required.
- Familiarity with acute coronary intervention and PCI programs preferred.
- IELTS minimum score of seven required for overseas applicants.
- Evidence of required vaccinations and tuberculosis screening required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
- Ability to supervise junior staff and contribute to clinical education required.
