Scholarship Benefits
- All University and College costs; A living stipend (£15,144 per year);
- One economy trip from the student’s home country to Oxford at the start of the scholarship and one economy flight from Oxford to the student’s home country at the end.
- The application cost for the university; The Scholarship is for two years and is contingent on excellent academic performance and personal conduct. For individuals who take a recognized route to the DPhil, the Scholarship may be extended for a third year, subject to an application process (PhD).
Eligible Criteria
- Citizenship and residency requirements: Each applicant must meet the Rhodes constituency’s citizenship and residency requirements. Here is a list of countries that are qualified.
- Education: By October, all applicants must have completed a bachelor’s degree with honors. In addition, academic status must be sufficient to assure entrance to the University of Oxford, which has extremely stringent admissions requirements. A least 3.75/4.0 GPA, or equivalent, is required in Canada.
- Age: Age limits vary by constituency and range from 18 to 28 by October 1st of the year following the election. The age limit in most constituencies is 24 or 25. Before applying, please double-check your constituency’s exact age restrictions.
