Rays of Hope Centre, an NGO that provides welfare, shelter, and educational support to marginalized, non-schooling youth and street-connected children in major urban districts in Greater Accra, including Ashaiman, Tema, and Dodowa.
Job Description.
Rays of Hope Center, an NGO, is looking for an experienced and creative administrator.
Scope of the role
The administrator is required to travel between our First Contact Place (FCP) in Ashaiman and the Welfare, Empowerment, and Mobility Centre (WEM) while carrying out his or her administrative duties, but will be primarily stationed in Ayikuma, WEM Centre.
Main jobs and obligations
- Being in charge of the general administration of ROHC (budget preparation, cash disbursement to centres, and expense payment)
- Managing the transparent and accountable data entry of financial transactions into organisational accounting software.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for ROHC and volunteers.
- Make sure that management has approved the regular payment of staff salaries, first- and second-tier payments, PAYE to GRA, and additional bonuses.
- Supervision of foreign workers’ and volunteers’ visas, work permits, and non-citizenship ID cards
- Ensure effective staff file keeping and the security of all ROHC legal certifications and documents, including the asset register/inventory list.
- Responsible for an effective and efficient ICT infrastructure in ROHC.
- All monetary and non-monetary donations will be registered, illustrated, and communicated to staff and management.
- Managing material for ROHC’s social media handles and website.
- Support ROHC’s operations and fundraising strategies.
- Close communication and collaboration with the FCP and WEM Center.
Required Skill or Experience
- A first degree in business administration, planning, finance, economics, or any other comparable field.
- Minimum of one year of experience in finance and administration, including fundraising and project management.
- Excellent working understanding of social media management, website building (Word Press), ICT infrastructure, Google Sheets, and Microsoft.
- A team member with empathy for children and the ability to work with marginalized and street-connected youth.
