POSITION: Project Officer
PureTrust Foundation, a Ghanaian Non profit Organization based in Tamale, is recruiting a dedicated Project Officer for Agriculture. Our mission focuses on promoting economic security and social inclusion for disadvantaged groups. Consequently, we champion conservation agriculture to advance food security and sustainable livelihoods.
This role is based in Bole, Savannah Region. The officer will implement agriculture projects promoting Climate Smart Agriculture, conservation techniques, and the environmental conservation of Non-Timber Forest Products like Shea and Cashew. You will work directly with farmers and cooperatives in the field.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Studies.
- Have a minimum of three years of practical field experience in a similar project role.
- Be fluent in at least two of the following local languages: Gonja, Brifo, or Dagare/Wale. Knowledge of Twi is an added advantage.
- Demonstrate practical skills in food security, climate adaptation, agri business, soil conservation, and animal husbandry.
- Possess experience in preparing crop calendars, estimating yields, and managing agricultural technology demonstration farms.
- Exhibit strong abilities in farmer group mobilization, cooperative development, and monitoring Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLAs).
- Be computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office, internet use, and social media.
- Have practical knowledge of beekeeping and strong report writing and presentation skills.
- Hold the ability to ride a motorcycle for extensive rural field work and secure own accommodation in Bole.
- Be available to work full-time from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and start on Tuesday, 3rd February 2026.

- Have a strong understanding of gender and social inclusion in development work.
- Possess no hindrance to duty travel outside the primary station.
- Previous NGO experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.
- The employment period is one year, with potential extension based on performance.
