The Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary Managing Director to provide executive leadership for our national FMCG distribution operations in Ghana. This is a senior leadership role with full strategic and operational accountability. You will drive business growth, oversee the complete value chain, and ensure the division’s profitability and market leadership. Reporting to the regional board, you will shape the future of our distribution footprint in a dynamic and competitive market.

Job Description

The Managing Director will serve as the strategic leader and primary driver for all FMCG distribution activities. You will have end-to-end responsibility for the business unit, including sales, supply chain, finance, and human capital. Your leadership will be critical in expanding market share, optimizing operations, and building a high-performance team.

Key Responsibilities

Your mandate will encompass the full spectrum of executive management:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the national business strategy to drive market expansion and sustainable growth.
Financial Stewardship: Assume full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility, delivering on revenue, profitability, and cost efficiency targets.
Commercial Excellence: Lead distributor and key account management to strengthen trade partnerships and customer relationships.
Operational Governance: Oversee supply chain, logistics, and inventory management to ensure efficiency and service excellence.
People & Culture: Provide inspirational talent leadership, fostering a culture of high performance, compliance, and continuous development.
Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary representative to the board, regional leadership, and external stakeholders, providing clear and strategic reporting.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a seasoned executive with:

A proven track record in a senior general management role within FMCG, distribution, or a related fast-paced industry.
Demonstrated experience in full P&L management and driving commercial growth in a competitive environment.
Strong expertise in supply chain and distributor network management.
Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to develop teams and manage stakeholder relationships at the highest levels.
Strategic acumen, operational rigor, and a results-oriented mindset.
