Job Title: Advisor Hygiene

Role Overview

The Advisor Hygiene will focus on identifying workplace health risks and implementing effective control measures.   • Develop and implement programs that control occupational health risks in line with regulations
  • Track site performance to ensure full compliance with health and safety standards
  • Provide guidance on the correct selection and use of personal protective equipment
  • Organize and deliver training sessions on workplace health and industrial hygiene
  • Support investigations related to occupational health incidents
  • Maintain accurate records of monitoring data and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
  • Analyze hygiene data using statistical tools to identify trends and improve decision making
  • Fulfill statutory responsibilities related to occupational hygiene within mining regulations

Skills and Experience Required

To succeed in this role, candidates must bring both academic qualifications and practical experience. Requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Environmental Health, Engineering, Safety, or a related field
  • Advanced Certificate in Occupational Hygiene will provide an added advantage
  • Between three and five years experience in industrial hygiene within mining or heavy industry
  • Strong ability to conduct occupational health assessments in a mining environment
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and interpretation
  • Proven experience implementing hygiene monitoring systems and compliance programs
  • Ability to communicate effectively across different teams and stakeholders

In addition, technical capability plays a key role in performance. Candidates should demonstrate:
