Role Overview

The Advisor Hygiene will focus on identifying workplace health risks and implementing effective control measures. Develop and implement programs that control occupational health risks in line with regulations
Track site performance to ensure full compliance with health and safety standards
Provide guidance on the correct selection and use of personal protective equipment
Organize and deliver training sessions on workplace health and industrial hygiene
Support investigations related to occupational health incidents
Maintain accurate records of monitoring data and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
Analyze hygiene data using statistical tools to identify trends and improve decision making
Fulfill statutory responsibilities related to occupational hygiene within mining regulations

Skills and Experience Required

To succeed in this role, candidates must bring both academic qualifications and practical experience. Requirements include:

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Environmental Health, Engineering, Safety, or a related field
Advanced Certificate in Occupational Hygiene will provide an added advantage
Between three and five years experience in industrial hygiene within mining or heavy industry
Strong ability to conduct occupational health assessments in a mining environment
Advanced skills in data analysis and interpretation
Proven experience implementing hygiene monitoring systems and compliance programs
Ability to communicate effectively across different teams and stakeholders

In addition, technical capability plays a key role in performance. Candidates should demonstrate:
