Job Title: Payment Analyst

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payment Analyst to join our team in Ghana. This role is pivotal in managing and facilitating payments to our international vendors. You will ensure all transactions are processed accurately, compliantly, and on time, supporting our global supply chain and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in finance and foreign trade who thrives in a structured, collaborative environment.

Position Summary

As a Payment Analyst, you will be responsible for the end-to-end documentation and processing of payments to foreign vendors. Your work will ensure strict adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies, preventing delays and promoting operational efficiency. You will act as a key liaison between procurement, logistics, and finance teams, ensuring a smooth and compliant payment workflow.

Key Responsibilities

  • First, you will ensure all documentation required for foreign vendor payments is complete, accurate, and fully compliant with relevant regulations.
  • You will collaborate closely with procurement, logistics, and finance teams to facilitate seamless payment processing.
  • A core duty involves monitoring the documentation workflow to prevent payment delays and secure necessary approvals promptly.
  • Furthermore, you will support compliance with all government regulations pertaining to international trade and payments.
  • You will also identify and recommend opportunities to enhance process efficiency in document handling and payment execution.
  • Additionally, you will generate regular reports and dashboards to track payment timelines and documentation compliance for management review.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, or a related field.
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience, preferably in foreign trade, international payments, or a similar finance role.
  • Native or professional fluency in French is a mandatory requirement.
  • A solid banking and finance background with strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team-player mindset.
  • A pragmatic, fact-based approach and an innovative attitude toward improving processes.
