Job Description

Role Overview

As Assistant Fleet Coordinator, you will manage daily fleet activities while ensuring efficient vehicle utilization and maintenance. You will coordinate drivers, monitor service execution, and maintain compliance with safety standards. This position demands strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

Process and assign service requests to appropriate drivers and vehicles
Monitor vehicle movements to ensure timely service delivery
Maintain accurate trip records, including mileage and logbook documentation
Update daily operational records for service calls and vehicle usage
Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and repair follow-ups
Conduct pre-delivery inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness
Ensure cleanliness, security, and proper maintenance of all fleet vehicles
Verify compliance with safety regulations and internal policies
Guide and train drivers on operational procedures and conduct standards
Generate operational reports and performance documentation
Enforce Driver’s Code of Conduct and road safety regulations
Optimize resource allocation for maximum operational efficiency

Qualifications and Experience

HND/Diploma in Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
Strong organizational and time management capabilities
Proactive approach with ability to initiate improvements
Integrity and commitment to confidentiality
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications
Familiarity with fleet management systems and procedures
Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance requirements
Strong prioritization and goal-setting abilities
