POSITION: Service Technician

Job Summary

Your Mission

As a Service Technician, you will provide essential mechanical and electrical support in workshop operations. You will be responsible for performing detailed risk assessments, carrying out disassembly, inspections, evaluations, and repairs, and ensuring that all work meets Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute full component and machine rebuilds following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Disassemble, diagnose, repair, reassemble, and test major equipment components.
  • Prepare detailed failure analysis and evaluation reports using CEFA tools.
  • Participate in daily toolbox meetings and promote Lean 5S practices in the workshop.
  • Work closely with the Service Administrator to manage parts requests and deadlines.
  • Operate and maintain all workshop tools and testing equipment safely.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Submit monthly tool and equipment audit reports.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Workshop Technician on warranty and goodwill claim assessments.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation using M3, Microsoft Office, and other reporting tools.

What We’re Looking For

Experience and Education

  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in a mechanical or technical field.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical discipline.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Advanced diagnostic and repair abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools and digital reporting systems.
