POSITION: Front Office Manager
Job Description
A Front Office Manager oversees the Front Office Team to guarantee that Team Members are equipped and knowledgeable to provide our Guests with an outstanding experience from check-in to check-out.
Duties and Responsibilities
In the role of Front Office Manager, you will manage the Front Office Team that serves as the primary link between the Guest, the hotel, and the different hotel departments. A Front Office Manager oversees the initial impressions of our Guests and must execute the following duties to the utmost standards:
- Supervise the complete Front Office function to uphold exceptional standards
- Assess Guest satisfaction levels and track trends, emphasizing ongoing enhancement
- Make sure that both regular and VIP guests are acknowledged and that the Front Office team functions with a sales mindset while endorsing the hotel brand’s loyalty program.
- Optimize room occupancy at optimal rates and implement up-selling strategies to highlight hotel amenities and services.
- Establish departmental goals, work timelines, financial plans, guidelines, and processes.
- Oversee the presentation, quality, and effectiveness of the Front Office Team Members, focusing on training and collaboration.
- Make certain that Team Members possess up-to-date information about hotel offerings, services, rates, and policies, along with familiarity with the local region, and are consistently educated to grasp policies and procedures.
- Ensure effective communication and positive working relationships with every hotel department.
- Supervise workforce levels to fulfill business requirements.
- Hold monthly meetings for communication and create minutes.
- Address employee performance concerns in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Hire, oversee, educate, and enhance the Front Office team.
- Adhere to hotel security protocols, fire safety regulations, and all health and safety laws.
- Conduct yourself according to established policies and procedures when operating front-of-house equipment and property management systems.
- Support other departments as needed.

- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or similar.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in Front Office roles within the hotel, leisure, and/or retail industries.
- Advanced IT skills
- Strong understanding of commercial practices and sales skills
- Experience in overseeing individuals and nurturing talent
- Prior experience in overseeing a department and a Profit and Loss statement.
- Outstanding leadership, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Responsible and strong
- Dedication to providing exceptional customer support.
- The capability to perform under stress
- Outstanding grooming standards
- Ability to adapt to different work scenarios.
- Capability to function independently and collaboratively within a group
In this role, it would be beneficial for you to exhibit the following skills and characteristics:
- Knowledgeable about Property Management Systems
- A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or similar
