Responsibilities
As the Specialist, Talent Acquisition, you will not just fill vacancies. Instead, you will deliver efficient, compliant, and insightful recruitment services. You will ensure MTN attracts, assesses, and onboards the best talent at exactly the right moment. Moreover, your data and insights will help guide workforce planning across the business.
Here is exactly what you will take ownership of:
- Own the End-to-End Process: You will coordinate the entire recruitment journey. From the moment a requisition gets approval, through the offer stage, and finally handing over to onboarding, you will keep everything moving smoothly and professionally.
- Master the Sourcing: You will coordinate job postings and implement smart sourcing strategies. Consequently, you will attract a diverse and qualified pool of candidates, giving MTN the best possible choice for every role.
- Evaluate with Precision: You will conduct screenings, interviews, assessments, and reference checks. You will maintain a high standard of evaluation, ensuring only the most suitable candidates move forward.
- Protect the Data: You will keep accurate recruitment data across all systems, including the ATS, HRIS, and internal trackers. Reliable data leads to informed decisions.
- Monitor the SLAs: You will keep a close eye on Service Level Agreements. If delays or risks appear, you will flag them immediately to the Manager of HR Operations.
- Stay Compliant: You will ensure every process aligns with internal policies, labour laws, and regulatory requirements. Integrity is non-negotiable.
- Support Workforce Planning: You will provide hiring trends, pipeline status, and capacity insights. Your data will help the business plan for the future.
- Build Talent Pools: Proactively, you will manage talent pools for mission-critical roles. Consequently, when a key position opens, you will already have a shortlist ready.
- Coordinate Pre-Employment Checks: You will handle all pre-employment checks and documentation professionally, paving the way for a smooth transition.
- Support Onboarding: You will hand over new hires to the Learning and Development team, ensuring they feel welcomed and engaged from day one.
- Boost the Brand: You will coordinate employer branding initiatives, helping MTN achieve its goal of being the employer of choice in Ghana.
The Ideal Candidate: Skills and Experience

Your Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years in talent acquisition or recruitment operations. You have proven experience managing end-to-end processes in a medium to large organization.
- Recruitment Reporting: You have demonstrated expertise in recruitment reporting and data management. You know your numbers and you know what they mean.
- Certifications: Professional recruitment certifications like LinkedIn Talent Solutions, SHRM, or CIPD will give you a strong advantage.
- Tech Savvy: You are familiar with Applicant Tracking Systems and modern sourcing tools.
