MAURITIUS 2023 EXPRESS PERMANENT RESIDENCE VISA FOR EVERYONE
You are eligible to register for the Permanent Residence Permit, which has a ten-year validity period if you have resided in Mauritius for three years as a Retired Non-Citizen. The same holds for your dependents.

For a foreign pensioner to be qualified for the PRP, they must have:

An investor must have the following to be qualified for the PRP:

For the non-Mauritian professional to be qualified for the PRP, they must:
- Foremost, have got a three-year occupation permit
- Also, have earned a salary of at least 150,000 Mauritius Rupees

Self-Employed Foreign National
For the self-employed person to be qualified for the PRP, they must:
- Firstly, have got a three-year occupation permit
- Secondly, possess an annual revenue of more than 3,000,000 Mauritius Rupees
BENEFITS OF MAURITIUS PERMANENT RESIDENCE PERMITS
- The permit’s primary purpose is to enable the holder to exercise their right to vote, seek office, or join the military.
- The permit also permits speedy entry and departure from the country and conserves time and effort.
- Holders of permanent residency in Mauritius are also allowed to do unlimited work but are required to follow all applicable labor laws in Mauritius.
- In addition, the cards can be used to verify identity while booking a hotel room or buying a train ticket.
MAURITIUS PERMANENT RESIDENT VISA APPLICATION PROCESS
The “Residence Permit Department” of the Prime Minister’s Office of Home Affairs, located on the fourth floor of New Government House in Port Louis, is where you apply for this permit. The applicant may choose to designate a third party to submit their petition for resident status on their behalf or submit it themselves in person.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
- First and foremost, Passport presentation and submission of a copy of the bio-data page

- Thirdly, an affidavit attesting that the applicant hasn’t committed a crime in the previous ten years in either his country of origin or place of residency.
- Fourthly, Certification of income or turnover from the Revenue Authority of Mauritius in the case of an investor, self-employed person, or professional
- Additionally, the applicant must provide the registration certification by the Ministry Of Economy and finance in the case of the investor category.
- Also, Documentary proof from a bank proving that the applicant has moved from outside to Mauritius in the event of a retired non-citizen
- Besides that, a medical record signed by a Mauritius-based physician
- Lastly, Past Residence or Occupation Permits as a Retired Non-Citizen (if any).
MAURITIUS PERMANENT RESIDENT VISA COST
Each application must be accompanied by a USD 50 non-refundable application fee per individual. In addition, following application approval, a fee of USD 3,000 must be paid for the major beneficiary to receive the Permanent Residence Permit.
