L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science 2027 in USA
Applications are open for the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science US programme 2027. L’Oréal USA partners with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) to run it. The programme supports postdoctoral women scientists. Five awardees will each receive $75,000.

What Awardees Receive
Each of the five awardees receives $75,000. The grant supports their research and outreach work. Awardees also join the For Women in Science Awards Week in November 2027. A budget template helps applicants plan how to use the funds. The programme also builds a network of alumni.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must hold a conferred PhD. They must have started a postdoctoral position by January 31, 2027. They must be U.S. born, naturalised citizens, or permanent residents. They must work at a U.S.-based institution. Applicants must do basic research in a qualifying STEM field. They cannot hold a faculty position.
Required Materials
Applicants complete the online application through AAAS’s portal. They submit a budget using the programme’s template. Awardees must commit at least 20 hours to supporting women and girls in science. Examples include mentoring, classroom visits, and events.
