Responsibilities
- Drive and operate the company’s 26-foot delivery trucks to transport agricultural products within a 180-mile radius
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking tires, fluids, and fuel
- Load and unload rolling carts and plant racks using docking bays and lift gates
- Maneuver heavy rolling carts (100–460 lbs) in loading and unloading areas
- Perform minor maintenance and report vehicle issues immediately to management
- Comply with DOT regulations, driver logs, and hours-of-service requirements
- Participate in shuttle driving operations between designated exchange points
- Water plants when necessary and inspect product quality before delivery
- Remove and properly dispose of plants that do not meet quality standards
- Assist with seasonal preparation, rack building, setup, and end-of-season teardown
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license or acceptable international equivalent (CDL accepted but not required)
- Minimum age of 21 years and at least 3 years of driving experience
- At least 2 months of greenhouse or nursery experience
- Basic English proficiency to read signs and communicate with officials and staff
