POSITION: Manager, Network Performance Reporting and Analytics
MTN Ghana is seeking a Manager, Network Performance Reporting and Analytics to join our Network Group. Your Mission: Deliver Network Business Intelligence
You will take responsibility for providing network related business intelligence that informs critical business decisions. Managing and providing technical guidance to a team of analysts, you will mine and analyze network data while ensuring quality and integrity in reporting. Your work will span regulatory submissions, stakeholder management, customer experience modeling, and war room technical initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Your role spans reporting and analytics, stakeholder management, regulatory compliance, and network performance oversight. Here is what you will tackle:
Reporting & Analytics
- You will take responsibility for network business intelligence delivery, working closely with the commercial BI team to provide analytics for decision making.
- Driving and supporting Group led reporting requirements keeps us aligned with MTN’s broader strategy.
- Ensuring all network related management reports are produced timely and in the required format maintains professional standards.
- Compiling and submitting monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports on Quality of Service to the NCA demonstrates regulatory responsiveness.
- Analyzing reports from the reporting system and making recommendations provides insights for management decision making.
- Developing an automated, effective environment for Network Performance Reporting and KPI monitoring drives efficiency.
Customer Experience & Stakeholder Management
- You will perform bi annual prioritization of all sites in the Network for Customer Experience Model by collecting data, reprioritizing, and circulating to all stakeholders.
- Serving as liaison between NWG and Marketing, Customer Care, Sales, and Corporate Services divisions on network issues or complaints keeps communication flowing.
Regulatory & Compliance
- You will align all NWG departments and sections on KPI calculations and verification with the Regulator.
- Representing MTN on the Telecom Chamber technical committee allows you to chart MTN’s agenda by analyzing NCA requests or methodologies.

Collaborating with other operators’ representatives to present analytics to the Telecoms Chamber better advises the NCA from operators’ viewpoint.

Working with the Corporate Services Team on Regulator led network projects and incident reporting and updates ensures compliance.
Network Performance & Management
- You will ensure War Room Management Technical Initiative Implementation across national, regional, and customer experience war rooms.
- Aligning Network Performance KPIs with overall MTN philosophy drives consistency.
- Defining, refining, selecting, and implementing network performance tools strengthens our capabilities.
- Liaising with stakeholders on data management initiatives for Network Group fosters collaboration.
Additional Responsibilities
- You will coordinate, track, and report on network technology strategy.
- Updating group reporting tools and shared locations for data keeps our systems current.
What You Bring to the Role
We are looking for a candidate with the right education, experience, and technical competencies. Here is what you need:
Education
- A minimum of a B.Sc. in Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or Statistics.
- A blend of engineering and statistics gives you a distinct advantage.
- PowerBI certification is a must.
Experience
- A minimum of five years of relevant work experience in network reporting and data analytics or a related role, specifically within the telecommunications industry.
- At least three years of experience, with a portion in a supervisory role.
Professional & Technical Competencies
- Knowledge of network system technologies including GSM, WCDMA, and IP networks.
- Knowledge of management systems associated with different vendors.
- Knowledge of performance monitoring tools.
- In depth knowledge of statistical counters, KPI, and KQI indicators for the Network.
- In depth knowledge of statistics for different vendors.
- In depth knowledge of merging statistics from different vendors to report at Network level.
- Knowledge of reporting tools and drive testing tools, plus analysis of drive test log files.
- Proficiency in PowerBI and SQL.
- Strong data mining, data handling, and data visualization skills.
- Organizational understanding and awareness of industry trends and strategic direction.
- Good technical communication skills for explaining concepts to non technical staff.
