PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Conduct quality inspection of raw materials on receipt, work-in-progress and finished products.
- Provide information on quality inspection and quality defects in a process.
- Inspection of bulk loading trucks prior to loading them to ensure no contamination.
- Maintaining daily logs and equipment record books.
- Cleaning, sterilizing, maintaining, and calibrating laboratory equipment.
- Ordering laboratory supplies, as needed.
- Providing technical support, when necessary.
- Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments.
- Organizing and storing all chemical substances, fluids, and compressed gases according to safety instructions.
- Ensuring that safety guidelines are adhered to at all times within the laboratory.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- HND Industrial Chemistry or Laboratory Science Technology Certificate;
- At least three (3) years Industrial Work experience;
- Ability to set up, install and operate new laboratory instruments;
- Knowledge of calibration and verification of laboratory instruments and measuring devices;
- Conversant with laboratory Health Safety and Environmental issues;
- Good knowledge of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environmental ISO Management Systems; Analytical and IT literacy
- Must be a person of high verifiable moral character and proven integrity.
