Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2025 Eligibility Requirements

  • Every applicant must hold a legitimate and valid WASSCE, GBCE, ABCE, GCE O-Level, or A-Level certificate or an equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • The applicant’s outcomes should not be more than five years old.
  • Candidates awaiting results are ineligible.
  • The candidate must fulfill KNUST’s admission criteria.
  • Must show essential economic requirements.
  • Should possess a demonstrated history of leadership and involvement in the community.
  • Preference will be granted to:
    • Women
    • Displaced Individuals (Refugees, Internally Displaced Individuals, etc.)
    • Individuals with disabilities
  • Should be prepared to come back and give back to their community post-graduation.
  • Should not be registered at any higher education institution.

Required Documents

  • Filled-out application form.
  • Copy of KNUST admission application (if accessible).
  • Original certificates of Senior High School outcomes (WASSCE, GBCE, ABCE, GCE O-Level, A-Level, or similar equivalents).
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • A personal statement showcasing leadership and financial necessity.
