POSITION: Production Technician

Kasapreko Company LTD seeks a skilled Production Technician to join our manufacturing team and ensure our machinery operates at peak performance levels. This position offers an outstanding opportunity for a technically gifted professional to contribute to one of Ghana’s leading beverage manufacturers. You will operate assigned machinery while maintaining it to prevent any disruption in production.

Core Responsibilities

Operational Duties:

• Carry out work in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures specified by Production Managers, Maintenance Managers, Quality Assurance teams, and equipment manufacturers
• Take records on an hourly basis during each shift using your machine log sheet
• Record production output as captured by machine counters
• Take flow meter readings before and after production or during changeovers

Quality and Cleanliness:

• Ensure cleanliness of machinery and work area at all times whilst on duty
• Guarantee only safe products emerge during production at the right efficiency
• Carry out necessary quality checks on inspection equipment and products
• Perform visual inspections of raw materials and finished products before use and release to warehouse

Coordination and Documentation:

• Account for time spent whilst on duty and materials handed over at every shift
• Ensure smooth flow of raw materials and finished products at both upstream and downstream operations
• Fill in the hourly performance board accurately
• Document all activities on downtime sheets with adequate training records

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Carry out preventive maintenance schedules assigned to you
• Perform planned maintenance activities according to established timelines
• Liaise with customers to ensure smooth running of the production line
• Identify and resolve operational issues promptly

Required Qualifications and Experience

Educational Background:

• HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Experience Criteria:

• Four years post national service relevant experience
• Exposure to FMCG manufacturing environments will provide a significant advantage

Essential Skills and Attributes

Technical Proficiency:

• Knowledge of food safety and quality management systems including ISO 9001 and ISO 22000
• Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving machinery challenges
• Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting

Professional Attributes:

• Ability to work in a team and adapt to change effectively
• Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
• A conscious safety champion at all levels of operation
