Job Summary and Impact

The Fleet Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance, scheduling, and efficient operation of the company’s vehicle fleet. You will ensure all transportation activities align with safety standards, cost effectiveness, and timely delivery schedules. This position supports our core manufacturing operations by guaranteeing reliable logistics for both raw materials and finished products.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will focus on fleet optimization, maintenance coordination, and team supervision.

Oversee the daily scheduling, routing, and dispatch of the company vehicle fleet to meet operational demands.
Implement and manage a preventive maintenance program to ensure all vehicles are safe, reliable, and in optimal working condition
Supervise drivers and fleet personnel, promoting safe driving practices and adherence to all traffic and company regulations.
Maintain accurate records for vehicle inspections, maintenance, fuel consumption, and incident reports.
Monitor fleet performance and costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
Coordinate with the procurement and logistics departments to plan transportation for materials and goods effectively.
Ensure full compliance with all local regulatory requirements related to vehicle licensing, insurance, and roadworthiness.
Manage relationships with external service providers, such as mechanics and fuel suppliers.
Investigate and report on any vehicle accidents or breakdowns, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should possess a relevant technical diploma or degree in Automotive Engineering, Transport Management, Logistics, or a related field.
Have proven experience in fleet management, transport logistics, or a similar supervisory role, preferably within manufacturing or a related industry.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of vehicle mechanics and maintenance protocols.
Exhibit excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Possess basic computer literacy for managing spreadsheets, maintenance software, and reports.
Show a strong commitment to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
