POSITIONS: Safety Officer & IT Technician

Job Description

We are expanding our team and currently seeking two dedicated professionals to join our Accra office: a proactive Safety Officer and a skilled IT Technician. Position 1: Safety Officer

Role Overview

As a Safety Officer at Whiterock Pharmaceuticals, you will champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations. Your vigilance and proactive approach will help maintain a secure working environment for all staff members while upholding our commitment to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Promote and implement comprehensive safety initiatives across the organization
Compile and maintain accurate compliance registers and safety documentation
Conduct regular equipment inspections and risk assessments
Facilitate staff safety meetings to share best practices and procedures
Develop and standardize health and safety protocols
Design and implement effective safety programs
Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports for management
Ensure emergency preparedness through regular drills and planning

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or HND in a relevant field
Minimum two years of professional safety experience
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
Proven skills in risk assessment and hazard identification
Experience in incident investigation and emergency preparedness
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities

Position 2: IT Technician

Role Overview

The IT Technician will serve as the primary contact for technical support within our organization. This role requires a versatile professional capable of maintaining our computer systems, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of all IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first-line IT support to staff across the organization
Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware components
Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues promptly
Repair or replace damaged computer and network equipment
Implement security measures, including antivirus and firewall protection
Maintain and update technical documentation and system records
Test new hardware and software before deployment
Support users with computer and network-related challenges

Qualifications and Experience

HND or a degree in Information Technology or a related field

Minimum two years of professional IT experience
Strong knowledge of operating systems and software installation
Proficiency in hardware setup and maintenance
Excellent teamwork and organizational skills
Adaptability and problem-solving capabilities
