Role Overview

As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions while maintaining the highest standards of accountability. You will report to the Accounts Payable Team Lead and contribute to financial operations that support humanitarian programs serving vulnerable children worldwide. This position demands precision, efficiency, and dedication to our mission of overcoming poverty.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Processing & Verification

Process and verify supplier invoices with accuracy and attention to details
Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
Obtain proper authorization for all payment processing
Generate scheduled payments and ensure timely disbursement

Account Reconciliation & Reporting

Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
Book monthly and yearly accruals in the Sun6 financial system
Analyze purchase patterns by expense category and purpose
Maintain comprehensive records for tax compliance and audit readiness

Stakeholder Communication & Support

Address supplier inquiries through multiple communication channels
Communicate invoice status updates to customers per service agreements
Resolve payment issues through effective customer collaboration
Ensure payment documentation reaches customers according to SLA standards

Quality Assurance & Compliance

Review Accounts Clerk entries for accuracy and completeness
Monitor invoice integration errors and implement corrective actions
Select appropriate cashbook and payment profiles for all transactions
Adhere to World Vision’s financial policies and control procedures

Qualifications and Experience

Essential Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounts payable or similar role
Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices
Proficiency with financial systems and Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SunSystems or similar enterprise financial software
Background in shared services or multi-national organization environments
Knowledge of non-profit accounting standards and compliance requirements
Experience interfacing with international stakeholders and suppliers
