The Opportunity

This is a high-impact executive role for a visionary Chief Sales Officer with deep HVAC expertise. You will assume full accountability for the global sales organization, directly influencing orders, revenue, EBITDA, and cash management. Role Summary

As the Chief Sales Officer, you will lead all commercial activities for a business with a P&L exceeding €750 million. Your mandate is to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives that deliver significant growth, improve margins, and strengthen the company’s market position globally. You will be the driving force behind our client’s commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

Your leadership will encompass strategic, operational, and financial dimensions:

  • First, you will develop and execute comprehensive global sales strategies to deliver profitable growth and market share expansion.
  • You will manage the complete commercial P&L, driving margin improvement through strategic pricing, cost management, and operational efficiency.
  • A core responsibility involves building, mentoring, and leading high-performing sales teams across multiple regions and sales channels.
  • Furthermore, you will cultivate and manage strategic relationships with global key accounts, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
  • You will also champion the company’s marketing agenda and lead the development of integrated, complete solution platforms for customers.
  • Finally, you will manage critical financial levers—including price, margins, overheads, and cash flow—to inform and drive pivotal business decisions.

Essential Requirements

The ideal candidate is a seasoned sales executive with a proven track record in industrial or HVAC markets:

  • A minimum of ten years of progressive sales leadership experience within the HVAC or a closely related industrial sector.
  • A demonstrated track record of managing a P&L of €500 million or more, with proven success in driving sales growth and margin improvement.
  • Extensive commercial experience, specifically within European markets, leading multi-channel sales organizations.
  • Deep technical and commercial knowledge of the HVAC industry.
  • Proven experience in leading commercial turnarounds or significant market transformations.
  • An engineering degree is strongly preferred; an MBA is considered a desirable asset.
