The Japan Medical Center in Ghana is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Counter Assistant to join our Pharmacy Department. This role is critical for ensuring smooth pharmacy counter operations and accurate medical claims processing. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of three years of direct experience within a hospital setting, coupled with strong practical knowledge of pharmacy procedures and claims management.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will manage essential administrative and patient facing tasks.

Process and manage all medical and pharmacy claims with precision and efficiency.
Ensure full compliance with NHIS guidelines and all internal hospital policies.
Collaborate closely with pharmacists and clinical staff to validate prescriptions and verify claim details.
Attend to patients at the pharmacy counter with professionalism and care.
Maintain meticulous documentation and organized records for audits and reporting purposes.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must possess hands-on experience in a similar role within a hospital pharmacy environment.

A minimum of three years of proven experience as a Medical Counter Assistant or in a directly comparable position.
Exhibit close attention to detail and demonstrate strong organizational capabilities.
Possess the ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet important deadlines.
Must reside in or near Ablekuma Joma, or be willing to commute to this location reliably.
