POSITION: Production Technician Position

Electrical Switchgear Limited (ESL), a Ghanaian company specializing in designing and manufacturing low-voltage electrical panels, is recruiting a skilled Production Technician. This role is based within our Production Unit, reporting directly to the Production Engineer. You will be responsible for executing all assigned panel building tasks with precision and efficiency.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

You will ensure the high quality assembly of electrical panels for industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
Build electrical panels according to provided circuit diagrams and layouts, strictly conforming to industry standards.
Maintain project timelines and communicate any challenges or delays appropriately to the Production Engineer.
Ensure efficient material use by generating accurate component lists for each assigned project.
Take full responsibility for the quality of your work, minimizing material wastage and avoiding rework.
Provide daily progress reports on all ongoing projects, including any technical or logistical challenges faced.
Observe 5S principles in your designated work area at all times to maintain organization and safety.
Properly care for and maintain all company tools issued to you.
Work safely and support the overall Safety, Health, and Environment management standards applicable to the workshop.

Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment (OHSE) Duties

You will adhere to all company OHS&E procedures, follow safe work practices, participate in risk assessments, and report hazards promptly. Knowledge of the safe use of all tools and equipment is essential.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must hold an HND or BTECH in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience as a production technician, preferably in a related manufacturing field.
Demonstrate strong technical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Exhibit the ability to complete all work reliably according to schedule.
Show good planning, organizational, and problem solving capabilities.
Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills for teamwork.
Must be fluent in both oral and written English.
