Position Overview

The President functions as the principal academic and administrative leader, accountable to the Governing Council for institutional performance. This senior role encompasses overall responsibility for academic quality, financial sustainability, and organizational development. The President maintains ultimate authority as Chief Disciplinary Officer while guiding the institute toward its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Institutional Management

Execute the institute’s strategic vision and mission through effective operational planning
Direct all academic programs and administrative functions to ensure quality standards
Exercise disciplinary authority over staff and students in accordance with institutional statutes
Cultivate strategic partnerships with industry and academic stakeholders

Financial Stewardship & Resource Development

Oversee prudent financial management and sustainable resource allocation
Develop and implement human resource strategies to attract and retain talent
Drive revenue generation initiatives and operational efficiency improvements
Ensure transparent governance and compliance with regulatory requirements

Stakeholder Engagement & Institutional Advancement

Represent the institute effectively to external partners and the broader community
Enhance the institution’s reputation through strategic branding and communication
Foster relationships with alumni and industry partners for program development
Promote innovation and academic excellence across all institutional activities

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications:

Earned a PhD from an accredited institution
Minimum five years in senior management within tertiary education or comparable organization
Proven track record in academic leadership and institutional administration
Extensive experience in financial management and strategic planning
Demonstrated integrity, creativity, and sound professional judgment

Leadership Competencies:

Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Visionary mindset with goal-oriented execution
Capacity to inspire and direct diverse teams
Strong industry engagement and partnership-building skills
Ability to project institutional excellence internally and externally

Preferred Attributes:

Alumni status with the Data Link Institute

Terms of Appointment

The initial appointment spans four years with potential for a two-year renewal. The institute offers an attractive negotiable compensation package including competitive salary and comprehensive benefits commensurate with this executive position.
