POSITION: Human Resources & Admin Officer 

Job Description

We are seeking a competent and dynamic Human Resources & Admin Officer to join our team. This role is vital for supporting the HR department in executing key functions, with a strong emphasis on administrative efficiency, recruitment coordination, performance management, and regulatory compliance. You will contribute directly to nurturing our human capital and maintaining a supportive, professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration and Operations:

  • Manage comprehensive employee records, ensuring accurate updates in the HRIS system throughout the employee lifecycle.
  • Support recruitment activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation programs, and training sessions while maintaining detailed records.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and process employee leave requests, including sick leave and annual leave.
  • Respond to staff inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and related matters.

Performance and Compliance Management:

  • Assist in implementing and tracking the performance appraisal system, including objective setting and year-end reviews.
  • Support staff with performance improvement plans and career development initiatives.
  • Ensure full compliance with Ghana Labour Laws, Bank of Ghana regulations, and internal policies.
  • Facilitate the renewal of work and residence permits for expatriate staff.
  • Prepare required HR reports and support internal and external audit processes.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Champion a strong safeguarding culture by implementing organizational safeguarding policies.
  • Act as a source of guidance and support, ensuring team members are trained and equipped to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Follow and encourage adherence to safeguarding reporting procedures.

Your Profile and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in a human resources role.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ghanaian labour regulations and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience within the financial services or banking sector is highly preferred. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong leadership potential and team collaboration skills are essential.
