Eligibility Requirements
Candidates are required to fulfill the subsequent criteria:
- Be a citizen who is not Chinese.
- Must be between 16 and 35 years old (in-service educators can apply until they are 45, and those applying with a Bachelor’s must be under 25).

Types of Scholarships and Program
The Jilin University International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship 2025 is available for students at various stages of their education:
1. Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education
- Length: Two academic years (commencing September 2025)
Eligibility:
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree
- Achieve a minimum score of 210 on HSK Level 5.
- Achieve a minimum score of 60 on HSKK (Intermediate Level).
- Preference will be granted to candidates who possess an employment contract or evidence of a teaching role after graduation.
2. Annual Study Program (Commencing September 2025)
- International Chinese Language Teaching: Necessitates an HSK Level 3 score of 270
- Chinese Language and Literature, History, and Philosophy: Requires an HSK Level 4 score of 180 and an HSKK (Intermediate Level) score of 60.
- Chinese Language Study: Requires a score of 210 on HSK Level 3 (HSKK score is preferred)
3. One-semester academic Program (Beginning September 2025 or March 2026)
International Chinese Language Education, Chinese Language and Literature, History, and Philosophy: Necessitates an HSK Level 3 score of 180 and an HSKK score.
Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taiji Culture: An HSK score is required (HSKK preferred)
4. Month-Long Study Program (Commencing in July or December 2025)
- Encompasses Chinese Language Learning, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Taiji Culture, or a Homestay with Chinese Language immersion.
- Also, applicants must submit an HSK score.
5. Online Study Programs
- One-Year Online Chinese Language Course: Requires a score of 180 on HSK Level 3 (HSKK is preferred)
- One-Semester Online Chinese Language Course: Needs an HSK score

How to Apply for Jilin University International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship
Deadline for Applications (Beijing Time)
The final deadline to submit an application for the Jilin University International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship 2025 differs based on the start date of the program. For programs starting in July 2025, the cutoff date is April 15, 2025. Applications for entry in September 2025 should be submitted by May 15, 2025. Individuals hoping to register for December 2025 need to submit their applications before September 15, 2025, whereas the last date for programs starting in March 2026 is October 31, 2025.
