TYPES OF JAPANESE PASSPORT

PASSPORT VALIDATION PERIOD

Only a 5-year passport can issued to Japanese citizens under the age of 16, but those who are 17 years old or older can choose between a 5-year and a 10-year passport for a different registration fee.

JAPAN PASSPORT ELIGIBILITY CRITERION

To be eligible for a Japanese passport, one must fulfill the following conditions:

• Most importantly, the individual must have held a legal status of residence for the entire time specified and must have stationed in Japan for 5 years or more in a row.
• Additionally, the person must be at least 20 years old and fully capable of acting under the laws of his or her own country.
