About the Fellowship

This fellowship grounds AI policy work in real scientific understanding. Fellows visit Imperial’s AI research hubs and startup community directly. A dedicated academic mentor supports each fellow’s own research project. Past fellows produced work adopted across government departments.

What Fellows Receive

Fellows attend four in-person days at Imperial College London yearly. Expert-led lectures and workshops cover core AI fundamentals directly. Mentorship from Imperial faculty supports each individual research project. Fellows also join a peer network of senior civil servants.

Who Can Apply

Applicants should be senior civil or public servants working on policy. A genuine interest in AI’s public-sector implications is essential. Fellows commit roughly six to eight hours monthly throughout the program. Four in-person days across the year are mandatory.
