About the Fellowship

What Fellows Receive
Monthly stipends depend on career stage: €1,700 for doctoral fellows and €2,600 for junior postdocs. Postdocs receive €3,100, and senior fellows receive €3,600. Fellows living outside Bonn also receive travel and accommodation support. Everyone gets a workspace with a desktop computer. BCDSS also helps fellows find childcare.
Who Can Apply
Doctoral fellows must be about to finish their PhD. Junior postdocs hold a PhD for up to four years. Postdocs, assistant professors, and associate professors fall in the postdoctoral category.
