About the Role

Job Duties

  • Own end to end APAC corporate accounting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance of financial reporting.
  • Lead statutory reporting, external audits, and board level financial reporting across all regional entities.
  • Manage month end close processes, consolidation, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee international payroll, procure to pay operations, and regional finance control frameworks.
  • Develop and implement regional accounting strategies aligned with global finance transformation goals.
  • Build and lead a high performing accounting team across multiple APAC jurisdictions and locations.
  • Partner with finance systems teams to implement ERP solutions and ensure data integrity standards.
  • Drive internal control design, audit readiness, and compliance with global accounting frameworks.
  • Collaborate with tax, treasury, and legal teams on regulatory, cash management, and funding matters.
  • Lead automation initiatives and integrate AI tools to improve accounting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Manage external auditors, service providers, and outsourced finance operations across the region.
  • Support new entity setup, operational readiness, and financial integration across APAC markets.
  • Represent APAC controllership in discussions with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum fifteen years of progressive accounting and controllership experience in global organizations.
  • At least five years of experience in regional or group controller leadership roles.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent is required.
  • Strong experience managing statutory reporting, audits, payroll, and finance operations at scale.
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS with understanding of regional statutory frameworks.
  • Proven experience leading multi country accounting teams and shared service operations.
  • Strong background in ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Workday Financials.
  • Experience designing month end close, consolidation, and intercompany accounting processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for engagement with boards, auditors, and senior leadership teams.
  • Strong ability to operate in fast paced, ambiguous, and high growth environments.
  • Experience in finance transformation, IPO readiness, or SOX implementation is highly desirable.
  • Ability to lead both strategic planning and hands on execution responsibilities effectively.
