Good News for Skilled Workers: Express Entry 2024 | BCPNP, MPNP, AAIP & QPNP

Through their separate Provincial Nomination Programs (PNPs) and provincial immigration programs, four different provinces nominated people this week. Proficient language skills, work history, education, and other factors were taken into consideration while choosing candidates. Candidates’ PNP scores based on these variables differ from province to province and shouldn’t be compared to one another.

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program

This week, six of the provincial programs offered by the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program held immigration drawings. A combined draw was performed on June 25 for five streams: Entry Level and Semiskilled, International Graduate, International Graduate EEBC option, Skilled Worker, and Skilled Worker Express Entry British Columbia EEBC option. A total of 35 individuals were invited to participate.

To receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence (PR), candidates in the Entry and Semiskilled Streams needed to score at least 110, while candidates in the other four streams needed to have a minimum score of 134.

On the same day, another draw was held for the Skilled Workers and International Graduates with EEBC option streams, which awarded ITAs to applicants with professional expertise in jobs that are in high demand in the province. At least 29 ITAs were issued by the stream.

To be invited, candidates for jobs in child care and construction had to receive a minimum score of 97. A minimum score of 80 was required for candidates seeking careers in veterinary care, while 106 was required for those in the healthcare industry.

Through the Skilled Worker Overseas Stream’s occupation-specific selection procedure, the Manitoba PNP invited 250 candidates on the 25th to receive letters of advice.
