About the Scholarship 

Supported by Cologne’s Mayor Henriette Reker and backed by the Association of Friends and Sponsors of the Cologne University of Applied Sciences (Verein der Freunde und Förderer der TH Köln e.V.), the Gottfried Böhm Scholarship enables one chosen scholar to bring innovative architectural and urban planning concepts to Cologne and its vicinity.

Throughout a period of one (01) year, the selected candidate will:

  • Engage in innovative architectural and urban planning initiatives associated with Cologne.
  • Gain expert guidance from a distinguished instructor during the residency.
  • Receive assistance from a committee of specialists in the area.
  • Showcase their work to the public in a concluding celebratory event at Cologne City Hall.
  • The residency wraps up with a two (02) week public showcase of the fellow’s creations in the atrium of the Spanish Building.
